The obverse shows the Chinese tiger in a crouched position. It could have just stalked something and is about to jump. Both the tiger and the background have the appearance of a mosaic . The Chinese symbol for tiger is emblazoned above the tiger. To the left above its head is “YEAR OF THE TIGER”. The motif is also surrounded by the characters “LUNAR OUNCE”, “2022” and “1oz FINE SILVER 999”. The reverse shows the coat of arms of the Republic of Rwanda . The face value of the silver coin is 50 Amafranga . Other characters include “ BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA ” and “ MIRONGO ITANU ”.
