Paris, the dazzling capital of France, is far more than just a geographical metropolis. It is a cultural mecca, a culinary paradise and a place that captures hearts with its romantic aura. The city stretches majestically along the banks of the Seine, revealing an impressive blend of historical grandeur and contemporary elegance.
Paris' architectural heritage is unrivalled. The Eiffel Tower, a masterful symbol of the city, rises proudly into the sky and offers breathtaking views of the Paris skyline. The Gothic splendour of Notre Dame Cathedral enchants with its history, while the Louvre, a palace of the arts, houses treasures such as the Mona Lisa.
But Paris is not just a city of monuments, it is also a place of hidden treasures. Walks along the Seine, past charming antiquarian bookshops and picturesque cafes, reveal the true attitude to life of the Parisians. The boulevards, created by Baron Haussmann, are a prime example of urban elegance and provide a setting for fashionable shopping experiences and relaxed strolls.

Julien Speaker

Julien Sprecher, connoisseur and founder of Parfums de Marly, weaves together rare and authentic fragrances in the Parfums de Marly collection, launched in 2003. Inspired by his passion for horses and French history, this fragrance line harks back to an era when horses and perfumes were considered national symbols. "In the 18th century, horses and perfumes were the pride of the nation," recalls Julien Sprecher of this important period.

The age of Louis XV was marked by the reputation of the "perfumed court"; Versailles was saturated with perfumes, while the best stallions in Europe were bred in the stud farms of France. It was during this period that Louis XV commissioned the sculptor Guillaume Coustou to create the "Horses of Marly", equestrian statues that adorned the perfume fountain - a prominent attraction at court.

These cultural links between perfumes, horses and French history are at the heart of the Parfums de Marly collection, a unique tribute to this glorious era.
